Social entrepreneur project #40001

Sounds like everything is going to be on track for next Friday's Cook for the Cure. Sobey's has been donating $20 gift cards towards the food; Zehrs has given $10 cards. Councillor Ian McLean might want to come, though we will try to just hit him up for matching donations, and a rep from CIBC sounded optimistic that they would be matching donations as well. Oh, and KitchenAid will be tossing in a $50.00 donation, just for having us throw the party.

The menu for the event sounds great:
  1. Amy's Famous Baked Potato Soup
  2. Spinach salad with goat's cheese
  3. Bruscetta con formaggio
  4. Wild mushroom and scallion pasta - alfredo sauce over rotini
  5. A light sorbet to cleanse the palate
  6. Surprise dessert
  7. Cheese and crackers
And there's going to ba a raging party afterwards, from the sounds of it. If for some bizarre reason you are reading my blog, feel free to drop on by: Unit 1, 40 King St. S (above the paper tree) in Waterloo at about 10pm on Friday, December 2. No cover charge but we are asking donations to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, and there may have been rumours of a buy-in keg as well.
